The Audiostars are a kinetic 4 piece band that delivers know-‘em-by-heart classic songs with an energy and passion that define live music at its very best. Featuring former members of some of the top bands in the Northeast U.S., (including vocalist J Yager & guitarist Matt Pirog of The Burners U.K., drummer Chad Ploss of The Refrigerators, and bassist Bobbie Van Detta of City Rhythm, Doc Scanlon’s Rhythm Boys and The Newports), The Audiostars don’t just get the party started -- they keep it going strong.

THE AUDIOSTARS:
J YAGER vocals/ guitar

J is the former frontman for Upstate NY phenoms THE BURNERS U.K., a band he co-founded in 1998.
He also served as lead singer for Albany, NY faves THE REFRIGERATORS (1993-1998), and performed
with other New York bands including THE GROOVE ASSASSINS, CICADA, SYDEWYNDER, and
RUNWAY 17. J eagerly awaits the perfection of permanent hair replacement to save him from certain doom.
MATT "LANKY" PIROG lead guitar

Matt -- aka "Lanky" -- rose to prominence as one of the region's top guitar slingers during his stint
with Albany, NY's THE BURNERS U.K.. Matt currently performs with Saratoga Springs, NY soul-
powered rockers GARLAND NELSON & SOUL SESSION, when he's not pulling A-stars duty. He
has also performed onstage with such notable acts as THE ERFTONES and CAGED MONKEY,
and is a sought-after session guitarist, having performed on and/or produced albums for numerous
bands and artists. 
CHAD PLOSS drums

Chad is a graduate of the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY, and when not performing with
THE AUDIOSTARS, teaches music to middle school students in New York's capital region. Chad
has toured Europe several times with various musical theater ensembles, and spent a year performing
with the Capital Repertory Theater in Albany, NY. He most-recently served as drummer for Albany, NY
faves THE REFRIGERATORS, and has performed with regional and national acts including MARIO
SEVAYEGA, THE ERFTONES, SCOTTY MAC & THE ROCKIN' BONNEVILLES, TOLLBOOTH and
RAISINHEAD. A fan of music from all corners of the map, he cites such artists as Miles Davis, Radiohead
and John Coltrane among his influences. Chad and wife Julie (lead vocalist for Albany, NY rockers The
Groove Syndicate) have two boys, who keep them busier than their hectic musical schedules.
BOBBIE VAN DETTA bass/ vocals

Bobbie is a veteran bassist, guitarist and vocalist who has performed with numerous world-famous
artists, including members of bands for ERIC CLAPTON, BON JOVI, BOB DYLAN, JOE JACKSON,
TODD RUNDGREN and many more. He earned significant regional fame as a member of several
high-profile bands, including THE NEWPORTS, PROFESSOR LOUIE & THE CROWMATIX,
CITY RHYTHM, and DOC SCANLON'S RHYTHM BOYS. Bobbie is also a veteran studio musician,
having appeared on dozens of albums worldwide. And, he makes bald look dead sexy.
